Emily Schuman's Living Room

all images are via Cupcakes and Cashmere

How homey, welcoming, yet very modern and stylish Emily's living room is? Very.
My personal favourites are the vintage floral chair, flamingo frames, bookshelves and the globes.
And I can only imagine how beautiful are the rest go her rooms in her apartment or house.

MoMa NYC

Past Friday I had a cultural outing to the MoMa NYC to see how the "modernism" of it differs from MoMa in San Francisco. I must say it is interesting to an extent, but mostly (I hate to sound negative) - I feel like the space of that sort of a  museum in the centre of any major city - is just a waste of space. Some art is just way too modern to take so much space. If you think, anything can be art; absolutely everything can have a significant meaning behind itself. I am for 100% up for new creative thinking, for new discoveries, new materials being used, crippled dog paining with a brush from his nostril, etc., but not a white large painted canvas, which significance is in the type of brush the artist has used. Please agree with me?

I don't know how she does it...

Yesterday I watched a movie with Sarah Jessica Parker called  "I don't know how she does it". It was interesting to watch that movie since I am a mother and there were a few moments in the movie I could relate too (except for having amazing career + working).
Throughout the whole movie I was captivated with SJP's undeniable charisma and lightness of her character. She is just incredible in every role she plays. SJP may not be your the hottest woman alive, yet many many women around the world would love to be her. And you know when you look at models and you think to yourself: "Oh, I wish I was that tall!", but when you see a movie with Sarah Jessica- you want to diminish in size and be just as petite and "compact" as her. I probably don't even have to mention that SJP looks great and effortless in any outfit she wears.
I'd be more than thrilled to meet this fantastically charming and fun woman!

Natasha reminds me of Kate Moss here, doesn't she look like her? Love the make-up, hair, and leather in this shoot

Sparkle-y Tuesday

Today I decided to sparkle up my sweater-weather outfit with my new absolutely favourite necklace from Forever XXI. Surprisingly, the necklace didn't make all babies drool at the Giggle story time :)

Chuck Bass/Ed Westwick filming Gossip Girl, 24.10.11, NYC

The filming of Gossip Girl is currently happening on the East 71st Street and Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, NY. I was surprised that there weren't a gazilion people surrounding the church were the filming was taking place; surprisingly the age range varied from 10 year olds to 40 year old ladies.
I was lucky to see handsome Ed Westwick looking very sharp and very Chuck ... Chuck Bass :) leaving the film set and getting into a car.
I am hoping that tomorrow I will have better luck spotting more GG's characters.

Sunday Adventures in New York

Today was the perfectly sunny and warm day to go for a vigorous walk - and that's I did today with my hubster and miss E. We went to Washington Square, Union Square, NYU, Parsons The New School for Design galleries, East Village, NoHo and walked for about 50 blocks home just to prove how great we are at walking :)
Parsons University had a little Alumni exhibition that we visited that featured different art media. Also, there was an outside art exhibition on site of Parsons campus called "A Cultural Response to Climate Change", which was incredibly interesting.
On the way back, we stopped by at a Thai restaurant that offered super delicious That sandwiches that I've never tried before. Yuuuuuuummmm.
