Avocado + Egg + Smoked Salmon Threesome

I dug out this deliciousness while looking for some creative appetizers for my daughter's 1st birthday. Yum Yuuummm Yuuuuummm! I only hope I will have enough time and strength to pull these things together :))

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • Olive oil
  • 1 avocado
  • Lime juice
  • 2 eggs
  • Smoked salmon, sliced into strips
  • Fresh ground pepper
1. Brush both side of bread with olive oil, and either grill them on both sides or toast them until they are golden brown.  Toasting them is easier, but grilling them gives them an out of this world grilled taste.
2. Mash avocado with a few squeezes of lime juice.  Set aside.
3. Beat the eggs and then scramble them in a skillet over medium heat until they are just set.
4. Assemble sandwiches as follows: spread avocado over each slice of bread, top with eggs and a strip or two of salmon, and grind a little black pepper over all

Maxi Skirt to the Maxi Style

I would love to get myself a maxi skirt, however with the humidity in our city, I find it next to impossible to put one on. Hopefully, autumn will present me and thousands of others with such a chance :)

5 Favourite "fashion" people from my Facebook

Do you have some people on your Facebook that you like to check out (even if you don't quite know them that well)? Creepy? Yes :) But, I can guarantee that 98% of us do that
Thus, I would like to dedicate this post, or precisely share the pictures, to my Facebook friends/acquaintances who have an unbelievably great taste in clothing and style.
Maybe some of them, don't even work hard on their outfits - and have just some very nice articles of clothing (eg. blouse), but even picking such an item, I believe, requires some good eye :)
Some of us do it pretty well, and some of us - just rock it! (and some of us are too exhausted to do anything about it these days , hehe - pointing at myself)
Please meet Jenya, Jennie, Elena, Anastasia, and Peghah and get inspired! Bravo ladies!

Janie & Jack - cuteness overload for babies!

During my 1 month stay in San Francisco, I discovered my weakness - adorable, well-made, elegant baby/toddler clothing. In other words - Janie and Jack. Luckily, or unluckily for my wallet, we resided on Chestnut St. in Marina neighborhood in SF - and that street, let me tell you, is full of interesting shops and restaurants. J&J is located on that steer as well :) Thus, almost daily me and Eli would pop in into the store either to pick something that we need or to admire the well-made, gorgeous clothing creations for the precious little beings.
I will tell you a secret: Eli's 1st b-day dress is coming from that store, and I am sure the guests and others babies will be in awe! hehe. At times, I wish the company would reproduce those little outfits in adult sizes.
Our favorite sales person at the Chestnut location at Janie and Jack was Doris - incredibly sweet and great with babies, she was a big help while mommy try to fish out her wallet out of her ever-so-loaded bag.
Stock up on "awww"s and 'so cute" s and look at the collection :)
