The NY Fashion Week RTW'12 has began and the shows are pouring, pictures are being posted with the speed of lightning, wish lists are being written, new trends noted, and fashionistas are being snapped for various media sources for our satisfaction and judgemnt-ation.
Today, I went to the fashion on-line bible style.com, and had a look at a couple of familiar designers to see how they imagine the warm days of 2012.
BCBG presented flow-w dresses and blouses with a definite hint of geometry, tribal and folk prints. One can note a lot of lines throughout a whole outfit. The contrasting and very prominent color combinations is what took my breath away. Brilliant. Yet, not my favourite collection so far.
Imitation of The Christ was closer to my heart with it's vintage-looking, 30-s, feminine, pastel, dreamy dresses. The whole collection, in general, reminded me of Kate Moss's wedding. Flower head wear, hair down, very relaxed feeling, and on top of a real wedding in the beginning of the show.
